Skydrops, a Tsunami Products Distributor, Secures £20 Million for Global AWG Expansion

Excerpt of Yahoo Finance article highlighting Skydrops’ Investment commitment

Tsunami Products is proud to highlight a major milestone for our Doha-based distributor, Skydrops Sustainable Water Technologies, which has secured a £20 million investment commitment from GEM Global Yield LLC SCS to support the expansion of its atmospheric water generation infrastructure. GEM is a $3.4 billion private equity and alternative investment group with a global investment portfolio.

Skydrops operates a commercial atmospheric water generation facility in Qatar and exclusively utilizes Tsunami Products atmospheric water generators to harvest humidity from the air and convert it into purified, mineralized drinking water. The finished product is bottled and distributed across hospitality, retail, corporate, and institutional markets, providing a real-world example of atmospheric water generation being used as a commercial source of sustainable drinking water in the GCC.

Under the agreement, Skydrops will have access to up to £20 million over a 36-month period following its planned public listing, with the capital intended to support expansion of production facilities, technology integration, and global distribution. The company has also outlined plans to expand across the GCC, North America, and Asia.

For Tsunami Products, this investment is an important validation of the growing commercial potential of atmospheric water generation technology. Skydrops has built its business around decentralized water production using large arrays of Tsunami AWGs, demonstrating how water can be produced directly at the point of demand rather than relying entirely on imported bottled water or centralized water infrastructure.

The partnership also highlights the potential for scalable atmospheric water systems in hot and humid regions such as Qatar and the broader Middle East. In areas where water scarcity, desalination dependence, and long-term water security are increasingly important considerations, atmospheric water generation can provide an additional and decentralized source of potable water for businesses, communities, hospitality groups, and other end users.

As Skydrops continues its expansion, Tsunami Products looks forward to supporting the growth of its atmospheric water infrastructure and the deployment of additional AWG systems. Investments of this scale represent an encouraging sign for the broader water-from-air industry and reinforce the growing demand for sustainable water solutions, decentralized water production, water resilience, and alternative sources of clean drinking water.

The continued growth of Skydrops provides another example of atmospheric water generation moving beyond demonstration projects and into commercial, scalable use. We are proud to support their efforts as they expand the reach of sustainably produced atmospheric water throughout the GCC and other international markets.
