Al Jazeera English Features Tsunami Products’ Atmospheric Water Generation Technology in Qatar
A still taken from the intro of the Al Jazeera feature discussing sustainable water measures
Tsunami Products’ atmospheric water generation technology was recently featured by Al Jazeera English in a report examining water security, desalination dependence, and decentralized water production in Doha, Qatar.
The segment takes viewers inside the facility of Skydrops Sustainable Water Solutions, where an array of Tsunami T-500 atmospheric water generators captures moisture from the air and converts it into purified, mineralized drinking water. Using Tsunami’s water-from-air technology, the operation is capable of producing more than 40,000 bottles of drinking water per day for commercial distribution throughout Qatar and the broader GCC.
Al Jazeera’s coverage highlights the complete atmospheric water generation process, from air filtration and condensation to water treatment, mineralization, and sustainable bottling. The report provides a clear example of Tsunami Products’ AWG systems operating at commercial scale in a region where water scarcity and long-term water security remain critical concerns.
The feature also explores how decentralized atmospheric water systems can strengthen resilience by creating multiple independent points of potable-water production. This approach can provide an additional layer of water security alongside desalination and other traditional infrastructure, particularly during periods of operational, environmental, or geopolitical uncertainty.
Being featured by a major international news organization such as Al Jazeera English represents an important milestone for Tsunami Products and reflects the growing global interest in atmospheric water harvesting, decentralized water production, sustainable drinking water, and alternative water sources. The segment demonstrates that AWG technology is moving beyond early concepts and into practical, continuous commercial use.
We appreciate Al Jazeera English for bringing attention to the growing role of atmospheric water generation in global water security. We also thank Skydrops Sustainable Water Solutions for continuing to demonstrate the capabilities of Tsunami technology across Qatar, the GCC, and the Middle East.
